Hi friends! I am Megan Smalley, the owner of Scarlet & Gold. I am so thankful to have you as part of our community. We hope that each time you interact with us, you leave inspired to make a positive impact on this world. Give Grace is the part of this business that is nearest and dearest to my heart. This phrase became my anthem through my years of infertility because grace is a necessity during any struggle. I needed extra grace from others because of the roller coaster of emotions I experienced on a regular basis. Grace when I didn’t handle things right. Grace when I wasn’t the kind of friend I wished I could be. Grace when I was having a hard day and couldn’t find the strength to get out of bed. I also believe that giving grace to yourself in hard times is so important. During trials like infertility, it can be so easy to feel like a failure. We hope this message encourages you to find someone each day, including yourself, to show a little extra grace. My team created this line of products as a means to financially support my husband Blake and I through IVF a second time. After 3.5 years of infertility, we are now pregnant with twin boys are couldn't be more grateful for these little lives. Our desire for this line is that it inspires you to be more transparent with your struggles and allows you to find joy and community in life’s hardest seasons. We all have them - no one is perfect. I truly believe that by tearing down the walls of our heart and sharing things we are walking through, we can make someone else feel less alone and encouraged in their journey. Together, we can make waves in this world.
